Toodyay is located in the inner Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, bordering the Perth metropolitan area.

 

 
Self Drive by Car
 
From Perth, visitors have the option of taking the Toodyay Road through Gidgegannup or Great Eastern Highway via Clackline to Toodyay.  Or from Great Northern Highway taking the scenic route along Chittering Road, turning into Julimar Road, turn left into Harper Road next to Duidgee Park.  Turn right at the T Junction and you are in the centre of Toodyay.
 
From Northam, take the Northam-Toodyay Road, and at the T junction turn right into Toodyay Road. This is the best route for visitors from the Eastern States of Australia.
 
From New Norcia, take Dewars Pool Road, turn right at the T junction and this will take you directly into the main centre of Toodyay.
 
Scenic Drives
 
There are a variety of scenic drives available to visitors. For further information please contact the Toodyay Visitor Centre. 
 
Pioneers' Pathway is a self-drive route that traverses the Wheatbelt following the well worn trail many prospectors once took on their way to the Yilgarn and Kalgoorlie Goldfields. Please contact the Toodyay Visitor Centre for your free Pioneers' Pathway brochure or visit www.pioneerspathway.org.au for further information.
 
Avon Historic Tourist Drive is a self-drive route that follows the original route between the settlements of Toodyay, Northam, York and Beverley. Please contact the Toodyay Visitor Centre for your free brochure which features places of interest and a map. 
 
 
Public Transport
 
The AvonLink is a comfortable commuter train that operates twice daily and travels between Midland, Toodyay and Northam. This is a scenic route which follows much of the Avon River and picturesque hills of the Avon Valley. AvonLink services connect with urban train services at Midland Train Station.
