Ormolu Striking Clock

The Ormolu striking clock can be viewed at the Newcastle Gaol Museum.

This beautiful Ormolu clock of French design once played an important role in the story of how the town of Toodyay got it's name.

More than a century ago William Amed Demasson of Keynsham Farm (along Julimar Rd) ordered a clock from a London clockmaker and seller.

Visit the museum to discover what happened next and how it assisted in naming the current Toodyay town.
